Brigit’s Garden takes you on a magical journey into the heart of Celtic heritage and mythology, making it one of the truly outstanding places to visit in the West of Ireland. The award-winning Celtic Gardens are widely regarded as one of the most spectacular in Ireland, set within 11 acres of native woodland & wildflower meadows. In addition to the Celtic Gardens visitors can enjoy the nature trail, an ancient ring fort (fairy fort), thatched roundhouse and crannog, and the calendar sundial, the largest in Ireland.

Celtic Gardens Walk

A walk through the four Gardens takes you on a journey through the cycle of the year, each garden representing one of the Celtic festivals of Samhain, Imbolc, Bealtaine and Lughnasa. This seasonal cycle mirrors the cycle of life from conception to old age and death. These are wildlife gardens, designed to reflect the West of Ireland landscape and managed to encourage biodiversity.

Nature’s Power

Climate change is one of the biggest challenges facing us in the 21st century. The Nature’s Power project is the start of a more sustainable era at Brigit’s Garden, in which we are reducing our carbon footprint and introducing new features to educate and inspire visitors about green energy and sustainable living.
