The Game of Thrones Tour offers full day coach tours to GOT locations including Winterfell, Robb’s Camp in the Riverlands, one of Walder Frey’s Twins, the ruined 12th century abbey where Robb’s bannermen pledged fealty to the ‘King in the North’ and the old growth forest where the Stark’s found a dead direwolf and her pups. Handmade Stark Winter Cloaks and replica swords are all available on the tour, at no extra charge. Be prepared for a total of 8km of trekking through forests and castles as you immerse yourself in the mood of the North.

Belfast Winterfell Locations Trek
08:45 Meet the guide at the Coach Bay (in front of TopShop), Chichester Street, Belfast

09:00 Departure from Chichester Street, taking the Newtownards Road past Stormont, past Scrabo Tower and down the Ards peninsula.

10:15 Ferry crossing ‘the Narrows’ across the mouth of Strangford Lough, the largest inland sea in the British Isles.

10:30 Arrive at Winterfell, Castleward Estate, where there are nine Game of Thrones® film locations on site, all close together. A 16th century castle and stableyard is the film location of Winterfell. Nearby, on the wooded shores of Strangford Lough, stands a 15th century Tower House (small castle) which served as one of Walder Frey’s Twins and as the location of Robb’s Camp. Other classic scenes filmed nearby include the spot where Brienne of Tarth dispatched three Stark bannermen and the Battlefield of Baelor.

12:15 Lunch in Strangford (not included in ticket price)

14:00 Arrive at Inch Abbey (12th century), where Catelyn heard terrible news from King’s Landing and Robb’s bannermen pledged fealty to him as ‘King in the North’.

15:15 Arrive Tollymore Forest Park, location of the first encounter with the White Walkers and the place where the Starks found a dead direwolf and her pups.

16:30 Depart Tollymore for Belfast.

18:00 Arrive back at Chichester Street, Belfast.
